 UNic Library Search

Students enrolled at the medical school may also borrow books from University of Nicosia's Main Library.

The Main library houses a large collection of basic science and allied health professions material, as well as all supporting materials for the  humanities, social sciences,  and technology programmes at the University.

Students may register  for an account at the  Main Library circulation desk by showing their UNic Medical School ID.

Note that the hours, as well as the  rules and regulations for borrowing from UNic Main Library are different than those at the Medical Library.

You will need to locate the sign-in area if you do not go through the library website. Usually the Sign in or Log in option appears in the top right corner of the screen.

Below you will see an example. The images are from the Springer platform.

1. Click on Log in/Sign in option

2. Select the OpenAthens option (Institutional login)

3. Find and select the University of Nicosia from the institutions list.

4. Choose category (if needed) and log in with your OpenAthens credentials (UNIC email & password)

5. You will be re-directed to the source page. If the Library subscribes to the source, you will have full-text access to the content.

6. Once you’ve logged in with one site, you probably won’t need to log in again unless you’ve ended your browser session.

Use your UNIC Picture ID Card to:

• borrow books (borrowing is not permitted without it!)
• access Medical School Block A&B at all times
• enter & exit the Library
• activate library printer
