Covid 19 Library Procedures Update

As of May 15 2022 students are no longer obliged to show a Safe Pass certificate when attending UNIC and/or Medical School premises.

However, please note that these important health & safety measures remain mandatory in the Library.

  1. To enter the library, please scan your  Student ID card on the counting device at the library entrance 

Note that without your Student ID Cardyou will not be permitted to enter the library.

  1. Face masks must be worn by everyone in the library at all times
  2. Hand sanitation is mandatory when entering and exiting the library & when handling books & other library equipment
  3. Physical distancing of 2 metres between individuals in the library should be maintained at all times
  4.  Maximum of 50 individuals will be allowed in the library at any time.
  5. Library surfaces are disinfected frequently. If desired, please wipe down your study area with anti-viral disinfectant & paper towel provided.

Your library access cards

MD Student?

Use your barcoded UNic Picture ID to

  • borrow books (borrowing is not permitted without it!)
  • access Med School Block A&B at all times.
  • enter the library
  • activate library printer

MBBS Student?

Use your SGUL/UNic Picture ID Card to:

  • borrow books (borrowing is not permitted without it!)
  • access Med School Block A&B at all times.
  • enter the library
  • activate library printer

Wifi Password

For Medical School Blocks A & B, the Unic_Med_Student_Wifi password is posted at the Library circulation desk.

Visit UNic's Main Library

University of Nicosia's Main Library houses a large collection of basic science and allied health professions material, as well as all resources for the humanities, social sciences, and technology programmes at the University.

Medical Students may also use the Main Library

  • to borrow books
  • as a study space 
  • to access all e-resources
