Health Library Essentials

Basics of library use: Hours, Covid-19 & library rules, Borrowing procedures, passwords, off site access, printing, FAQS, YouTUBE channel, etc.

UNic Medical School MD & Graduate Student E-Resource Access

Use your UNic Office 365 email address & password to:

  • Log in to your official email account. 

  • Access all library e-resources via OpenAthens, including journal articles, databases & e-books off site.

  • Log in to Moodle.

  • Download the full suite of Office 365 Apps including  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook on up to 5 of your devices

IMPORTANT:  St. George's MBBS students have full access to SGUL online resources in London.  Access to UNic online resources for MBBS students is via UNic proxy server only. Follow instructions here.   

UNic Medical Faculty E-Resource Access

Full time Faculty has access to all resources using Office 365 email credentials. Sign in with the email address you use:  OR
Part Time Faculty may access resources via proxy server once they have submitted their Library Registration form. Please follow instructions for proxy access here.

Accessing e-resources offsite

To access e-resources such as journal articles, books or databases offsite you need to log in.
1.Use UNic Library Search to find the e-resource  you want, click the PDF or Full Text link & 2. Look for the  OpenAthens sign in option
3. Select University of Nicosia as your institution, if asked. 
 4. Select your sign in type:  
5.Enter your UNic Office 365 email address & password  
6. Alternatively,  you may also gain online access via UNic's Proxy Server

Accessing MOODLE

You will find all course & assignment details, timetables, lecture slides etc., posted on Moodle, your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is important that you login on a regular basis.






To access from anywhere, go to Moodle Login & use your Office 365 email & password to log in. For help with Moodle or questions about content, contact your MD Course Administrator.  For technical difficulties, contact IT Support
