Health Library Essentials

Basics of library use: Hours, Covid-19 & library rules, Borrowing procedures, passwords, off site access, printing, FAQS, YouTUBE channel, etc.

UNic Health Library E-Resource Access

Use your UNic Office 365 account to:

  • Log in to your official @live.unic.ac.cy email account. 

  • Access all library e-resources via OpenAthens, including journal articles, databases & e-books off site.

  • Log in to Moodle.

  • Download the full suite of Office 365 Apps including  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook on up to 5 of your devices

IMPORTANT:  St. George's MBBS students have full access to SGUL online resources in London.  

UNic Medical Faculty E-Resource Access

Full time Faculty has access to all resources using Office 365 email credentials. Sign in with the email address you use: @unic.ac.cy  OR @med.unic.ac.cy
Part Time Faculty may access all resources once they have submitted their Library Registration form. 

Off Campus Access to University of Nicosia E-resources

How to Use OpenAthens:

  • Use UNIC’s  Library search to find the eBook or online article you need*Remember if it is a terminology of 2 or more words enclose it is double quotes.
  • Click on Available online 
  • Select View Online --> Full text availability

  • Once the link is clicked, the OpenAthens dialogue box opens, select UNIC Faculty and Staff or UNIC Students

 

 

Once you are signed in, the full text will open immediately.

Accessing MOODLE

You will find all course & assignment details, timetables, lecture slides etc., posted on Moodle, your Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is important that you login on a regular basis.

 

 

 

 

 

To access from anywhere, go to Moodle Login & use your Office 365 email & password to log in. For help with Moodle or questions about content, contact your MD Course Administrator.  For technical difficulties, contact IT Support
